Description

TANK WASH - S is a liquid compound containing petroleum solvents, emulsifying detergents and surface active agents, for cleaning tanks of double bottom at sea.

Application

TANK WASH - S is formulated for cleaning and gas-freeing double bottom, deep tanks and other fuel oil bunker tanks at sea, degreasing and cleaning engine cooling water systems, and removing oil and greases from soiled surfaces.

Advantages

TANK WASH - S has a high solvent power, penetrates rapidly, makes an emulsion in fresh or sea water, is an effective and economical product, does not produce corrosion on metal surfaces, is low toxic and has a high cleaning action provided by ship's motion.

Usage

Cleaning and gas freeing of double bottom and deep tanks.

• Drain off all existing fuel and rinse with plenty of sea water. Drain off all residues.
• Ensure that all valves to and from the tank are closed.
• Add 1,5 to 3 liters of TANK WASH - S for 1000 liters of water, and fill tank up to 75% of the volume tank with sea water.
• Apply heating to 60 ⁰C and maintain for 48 to 96 hours.
• Discharge and strip tank. Rinse tank with sea water.
• A second dose of 1 to 1,5 liters of TANK WASH - S following the same procedure will give excellent results

Cleaning of cargo tanks by injecting machine.

TANK WASH - S can be used for removing oil and greases from the soiled surfaces of cargo tanks by means of an injecting machine dilute with sea water.

General cleaning methods.

TANK WASH - S can be used as a common degreaser neat or diluted with petroleum or water in varying concentrations depending on the heaviness of the soil by soaking, spraying or combined with scrubbing. Allow time for TANK WASH - S  to act, between 15-30 minutes, then rinse off by water hose.
