Description
AF - II is a strong general purpose antifoam which consists of polyester compounds and special anti - foaming additives whose combined action creates a very effective product with the following advantages:
a) It is neutral and dissolves completely in water.
b) It is non-toxic.
c) pH does not affect its efficiency.
d) It works at low temperatures as well as at high temperatures where silicone antifoam agents cannot work effectively.
e) It is mostly used in aqueous solutions.
Applications
AF - II is used to neutralize foam in:
- Pulp and paper Industries

- In liquid or solid detergents
|

- In caustic soda solutions
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
and generally in industries where foaming problems appear.
Usage
AF - II is added to the solutions in a proportion of 0.01 - 0.3%. This proportion varies depending on the case.
Especially in distilleries, in caustic baths, a proportion of 0.01 - 0.05% is enough to eliminate the foam.
In liquid detergents, it is used in a proportion of 20-25% of the amount of the surfactants that exist in detergents.
